Optical System
The X12B beamline optics consist of a vertically collimating mirror (that is shared with X12C) followed by a channel-cut Si(111) crystal monochromator and a doubly focusing toroidal mirror.

Experimental Apparatus
The X12B endstation contains an ADSC Q4 CCD x-ray area detector mounted on a two-circle diffractometer, and an Oxford Cryosystems 700 series cryostream system for sample freezing. A custom-manufactured automatic sample mounter has recently been added.

Computer System Hardware & Software
Networked array of Linux PCs. CBASS data collection software, HKL2000 data analysis software.
