DESCRIPTION NEW CHANNEL-CUT MONOCHROMATOR.

Following are the pictures of the new Si(111) channel cut monochromator. Notice the new method of detuning the crystal in this picture. The spring loaded end pulls it up, and the PICO-motor pushes it down. The new monochromator has the low energy limit of 4.8 KeV.

Now Ti  ( K-edge 4.964 KeV) can be done at X18B.
