Weekly Users' Meeting Minutes -- January 21, 2009

Schedule

X-ray: Template time cancelled for Tuesday 1/27/09, 00-0800 hrs.
Time is returned to normal operations.

VUV: No special requests.

VUV timing runs will be late February and early March. Attempt will
be made to restrict compressed bunch mode to Studies periods and detuned
to Operations days in order to minimize impact on users.

Machine Status

Both rings are running well.

Sue Wirick says x-ray beam has been unstable over the past few days.
M. Fedurin says this occurs immediately after conditioning.

X-ray Template Times

UEC has recommended a change to x-ray template times. Decision will be presented
at next week's User Meeting.

Town Meeting

The next town meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 2/18/09.

Liquid nitrogen dewar fills by west roll up door

Andrew Ackerman: PPE is required, not discretionary. LN2 filling of pressurized
systems requires full cryogen PPE. See SBMS for details. Signage at LN2 fill
station will be reviewed to simplify and clarify operation

Long discussion of auto-fill system for LN2 fills. System is still under design
and additional details will be provided.
