Weekly Users' Meeting Minutes -- April 22, 2009

Schedule

X-ray: There will be an observation on Tuesday 4/28/09. 0800-1200 hrs. of
the EPW running at 47 Hz from its current 22 Hz. All users are
encouraged to observe. Results will be discussed at the next User Meeting

VUV: U. of Florida group is planning to come for timing runs during July.
Their proposed timing schedule is:

July 10: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned [1800 – 2400 Scheduled Timing]
July 11: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned
July 12: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned
July 13: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned [1800 – 2400 Scheduled Timing]
July 17: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch compressed [1800 – 2400 Studies]
July 18: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned
July 19: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned
July 20: 1800 – 0230 Timing 7 bunch detuned
July 21: 1200 – 2400 Timing 7 bunch compressed [0800 – 2400 Studies]
July 22: 1200 – 2400 Timing 7 bunch compressed [0000 – 2400 Studies]

Machine Status

X-ray ring is running at 2.584 GeV due to RF3 being down. A spare diode
stack is being installed and tested. If this is successful 2.8 GeV
operations will be attempted at today's 7 PM fill. (Note: this was
successful)

VUV Floor Lockout

The VUV floor will be locked out for injection studies this Friday April 24
1800 – 2100 hrs, and also on Tuesday April 28 and Wednesday April 29
from 1700 to 2000 hrs.

May Shutdown

Next User Meeting (4/29) Payman Mortazavi will come to describe the maintenance
work that will take place during the shutdown.
