Weekly Users' Meeting Minutes -- September 9, 2009

Schedule

X-ray: X13A requested to run the EPW at 47 Hz. There will be an announcement
before the frequency change and if anybody complains the frequency
will go back to 22 Hz. This will only be done during working hours.

VUV: The VUV floor will be locked out Friday night (9/11/09)
1800-2400 hrs. for injection studies.

Machine Status

Both rings are running well.

NSLS II Construction – Soil Compacting

The large compactor may be in operation in the NW corner of the site
between September 21 and 25.

NSLS Main Lobby Elevator Repairs

The lobby elevator repair will begin next week. The work will last for
about 6 weeks.

LN2 Fill Station

There is currently a problem with the automatic LN2 fill station. Engineers
are working on the repairs. In the meantime, 2 announcements will be made
every weekday for users to take their dewars to the station to be filled by NSLS
staff. NSLS have assigned 3 staff members to fill the dewars for users.
Please don't wait until Friday to get your dewars filled for the weekend.
