NSLS Industrial Users' Program

Battery Lab

NSLS users are welcome to use the equipment in a new battery lab, which is housed in room 1-149 on the experimental floor. The lab includes a glove box for battery cell assembly, a stationary 16-channel battery cycler for electrochemical tests, and a potable single-channel battery cycler for in-situ experiments at NSLS beamlines.

The National Synchrotron Light Source at Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York is a national user research facility funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science. The two electron storage rings at NSLS, the X-Ray Ring and the Vacuum Ultraviolet Ring, provide intense light spanning the electromagnetic spectrum, from infrared through x-ray. Each year, over 2,000 scientists from 400 universities, industries and government labs perform research at the facility. NSLS is operated by the Photon Sciences Directorate, which is also constructing NSLS-II.
