Potential hazards, controls and requirements to be followed regarding the use of radio frequency and microwave radiation are detailed in the Radiofrequency/Microwave Radiation Subject Area. This Subject Area covers the frequency range of 30 kHz to 300 GHz for instruments such as fixed or portable RF/microwave emitters, particle accelerators, induction heaters, and certain power supplies.

Inventories and surveys of NSLS sources shall be maintained by the NSLS ES&H Coordinator in collaboration with the NSLS Electrical Systems Group and may be found in the Attachment below.

The NSLS Equipment Identification System (EIS) database shall document the maintenance schedule of this equipment.
