NSLS Symposium Series Committee

  1. Introduction
The goal of the NSLS Symposium Series is to have bi-monthly seminars in various fields that are of interest to NSLS staff and users.  They will take place every other Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 AM.  The format of the seminars is to be "academia style," where the invited speaker will give a full length seminar (45-50 minutes), and then spend the remainder of the day meeting with interested staff/users.

  2. Charge
The NSLS Symposium Series Committee will consist of NSLS staff members that represent each of the NSLS divisions (ES&H, Engineering and Operations, Accelerators, and User Science).  Each division may nominate up to 4 members to sit on the committee.  The term for each committee member is 1 year.

The NSLS Symposium Series Committee will meet monthly
  3.
