S. Kate Feng is a Technology Architect for the Controls and Detectors group. Her interests are in real-time control and detector system designs and software programming. Her development efforts are currently focused on EPICS/RTEMS (C/C++) real-time control and detector system designs and software development for NSLS beamlines.

Projects:

• Real-time software development with VxWorks, RTEMS and EPICS.
• Wrote RTEMS Board Support package (e.g. support for network, VME, PCI, IRQ, and so on) for the Motorola MVME5500 board.
• Instrumentation, dectors, data acquisitions and controls for NSLS beamlines, NSLS accelerators, and BNL's DUV-FEL.
• Digital signal processing.
• Image processing.
