1.0 PURPOSE

To provide an awareness of Work Planning and Controls.

2.0 SCOPE

This briefing applies to all Light Sources Directorate (DL) Work Control Coordinators (WCCs) who carry out work planning functions within the Light Sources complex.

3.0 QUALIFIED TRAINERS

Personnel qualified to provide this briefing are:

  • NSLS (LS) Work Control Manager (WCM) - A. Boerner
  • NSLS (LS) Deputy Work Control Manager (DWCM) - R. Kiss
  • NSLS-II (LT) Work Control Manager (DWCM) - G. Van Derlaske
  • NSLS-II (LT) Deputy Work Control Manager (DWCM) - A. Boerner

4.0 INSTRUCTIONS

  • For the initial briefing, the WCM or DWCM
    • Reviews the information below with the Work Control Coordinator (WCC)
    • Prints and completes this form
    • Determines the Job Training Assessments (JTAs) to be assigned to the WCC
    • Signs the form and obtains the signature of the WCC
    • Forwards the signed form to the DL Training Coordinator
    • Requests an update to the BNL Work Control Coordinators List
  • For re-qualification, the WCC
    • Reviews the information below
    • Prints, completes, and signs the form
    • Forwards the signed form to the DL Training Coordinator
