Marcsc: Cryogenic Sample Changer

The MARCSC (Mar Cryogenic Sample Changer) is a compact, unique, and robust solution to the problem of automated sample mounting. Samples are loaded by the marcsc directly from liquid nitrogen into the cold stream from a carousel of 19 vials. A number of software and hardware improvements developed over the past two years of customer use will be presented, as well as a brief explanation of an effective new automatic loop centering algorithm.
