Workshop #4 at the NSLS Users' MeetingSpectroscopic Studies of Nanoscaled SystemsLocation: Bldg. 463, Biology, Large Seminar Room Date: Wednesday, May 25, 2005 Organizers: Description: This workshop will focus on many-body phenomena with nanoscale dimensions, including the effects of electron interactions in mesoscopic systems (such as quantum wires and dots) and nanoscale inhomogeneity induced by interactions in extended sytems (such as transition metal oxides). The emphasis will be on phenomena which either have been or can be studied with synchrotron-based spectroscopy techniques, such as angle-resolved photoemission, x-ray absorption, or resonant x-ray scattering. Schedule:
Gammadata Scienta AB of Sweden will hold an equipment exhibit at this workshop. http://www.gammadata.se/scienta/ |
