Dear Prospective NSLS/CFN Users’ Meeting Exhibitor,
On
behalf of the NSLS and CFN Users’ Executive Committees, we are inviting
you to participate in this year’s Joint NSLS and CFN Users’ meeting that
will be held May 21-23, 2007. The venue will continue to be on-site at
Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, New York.
As a result of
valuable feedback through surveys, emails, and comments made to us at last
year’s meeting, we are implementing the following changes to improve exhibitor
interaction:
- Workshops
and plenary talks will be distributed across the meeting days, instead of holding all talks on one day.
- Concurrent
with the Monday afternoon scientific workshops, time has been set aside for BNL
technical staff to interact with exhibitors.
- While
we cannot place all workshops in Berkner, there will be at least one workshop in
Berkner on Tuesday morning, and one on Wednesday.
- Berkner
Hall Cafeteria will remain open during lunch to BNL staff to increase traffic
through the exhibitor areas.
- A
tour of the new CFN building is included in the meeting agenda.
The meeting
agenda will include plenary talks on Monday morning at Berkner Hall, followed by
a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the site of the CFN. Refreshments will be held in
conjunction with the dedication of the completed CFN. It is our hope that many
of you will attend this momentous occasion as it represents the last of 5
nanoscale research centers completed by the DOE. We are also inviting local and
national figures to attend this dedication.
The Exhibitor
Reception at Berkner will be held on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, we will
have scientific workshops with lunch for all at Berkner. Tuesday afternoon will
be the scientific plenary lectures in Berkner, with the cocktail hour and
banquet immediately following. Wednesday will be a workshop day, with lunches
and one workshop held in Berkner.
Exhibitor space is limited to 38 and
available on a first-come, first-served basis at a rate of $1,300.00. Complete
the attached vendor profile form, answering all questions. This information is
necessary to meet your exhibit requirements at the meeting and for advertising
purposes.
Instructions for exhibiting your equipment at this year's Users' Meeting are:
- Register for the meeting at
http://www.nsls.bnl.gov/users/meeting/2007/registration/
For the registration type, select one of the vendor options. The
first attending vendor should be listed as the primary vendor.
Additional attending vendors should be listed as additional
vendors.
- Complete the exhibitor profile form. This information
is necessary to meet your exhibit requirements at the meeting and for advertising
purposes. For Berkner Hall layout please click here:
Lobby or
Cafe. Please list your first 2 preferences for table
locations.
- Mail your vendor profile form and contribution check, payable to
Brookhaven Science Associates, to Liz Flynn, National
Synchrotron Light Source, User Administration Office, Brookhaven
National Laboratory, Building 725B, P.O. Box 5000, Upton, NY
11973-5000. You will receive confirmation and additional
information following receipt.
Information about Workshops, the plenary session, and other events will be posted on our website at
http://www.nsls.bnl.gov/users/meeting/.
If you are unable to attend this
year's meeting, perhaps you might consider assisting in its sponsorship, you may
contact me for more information at (631) 344-5763.
I hope you will join us in making
this year's Users' Meeting a rousing success, and I look forward to seeing you
in May.
