On behalf of the User’s Executive Committees of the National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) and the Center for Functional Materials (CFN) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), I would like to invite your organization to assist in sponsoring the 2008 User meeting on May 19-21.

The Users’ Meeting brings together national and international scientists and engineers of many diverse disciplines and affiliated with universities, industries, government agencies, and national labs. New research results and advances in experimental capabilities and techniques that utilize synchrotron radiation and nanoscience research are discussed through presentations, workshops, and social gatherings. The main program includes presentations by Dr. Patricia Dehmer, Deputy Director of Scientific Programs at the Department of the Energy; the Brookhaven National Laboratory Director; Associate Laboratory Director of Light Sources, Directors of the NSLS and CFN user facilities; and plenary scientific talks.

We are inviting your organization to assist in sponsoring this year's meeting. As a sponsor, you will have high visibility in the meeting program, on display signs throughout the facilities, in frequent conference announcements, and on our meeting website: http://www.nsls.bnl.gov/users/meeting/2008/.
